Coming soon to OttawaFrançais

Outside a school with a clock on its bell tower, a mentor teaches three students at an outdoor chalkboard of simple sums while one writes the answer, and at the door a teacher shakes hands with a second mentor.

For schools

Bring Hikmah into your school. Designed around your students.

Your students get mentors who know them by name and real work to show, in the school day or after the bell. We partner with public, Catholic, French-language and independent schools.

Who we work with

Your teachers carry a lot. We add a team, not a task.

Trained mentors, a clear method and plain reporting, designed with you and run by us. Choose your kind of school.

Public school boards

We work within your board’s policies and timetable and complement the Ontario curriculum, starting in one school or several.

Where schools often start

  • After-school enrichment open to every family
  • Foundations catch-up where it’s needed most
  • Staff learning on teaching with AI

Programs for schools

Five programs. One way of teaching.

Each one starts from what students know, builds mastery step by step and ends with real work to show. Choose one or combine them.

  • AI-ready thinking

Asking good questions, checking answers, judging sources, and knowing when a tool helps.

    • Questioning and verifying
    • AI as a tool, not a crutch
    • The ethics of new technology
  • Project-based learning

A real problem from the school or neighbourhood: plan it, build it, present it to a real audience.

    • Plan, build, revise
    • Teamwork with clear roles
    • A public showcase
  • Socratic seminars

Structured discussion of a text or question: listen closely, reason aloud, change your mind for good reasons.

    • Close reading
    • Reasoning in dialogue
    • Respectful disagreement
  • Debate and rhetoric

Build an argument, find evidence, anticipate the other side and speak with poise.

    • Argument and evidence
    • Public speaking
    • Listening in order to answer
  • Foundations catch-up

A diagnostic traces each student’s gaps to the root skill; small groups work there until it holds.

    • A diagnostic for each student
    • Root-skill practice
    • Mastery checks before moving on
  • For teachers, in a world with AI

A single workshop, a series across the year, or classroom coaching.

Hikmah mentors, working with your staff

More independent work, and longer projects. Hikmah runs the program on site after the bell.

How it runs

  1. Begin

A conversation with your team, then a diagnostic snapshot of the cohort.

  2. Build

Teams choose a real problem, research it, build a first version and revise it.

  3. Show

A showcase for classmates, families and staff.

  4. Report

A monthly report to the school, a progress update for each family, then a review together.

How a partnership works

From a first call to monthly reports.

  1. A conversation

We meet your principal and staff: what students need, what works, what the timetable allows.

  2. A diagnostic snapshot

With family consent, we assess a cohort to see where students are strong and where gaps begin.

  3. A program design

Focus, format, grades, schedule and reporting, built on the snapshot and shaped with you.

  4. Delivery by Hikmah mentors

Our mentors run the sessions alongside your staff, with the method we use in our own centre.

  5. Monthly reporting

A cohort summary for the school and a progress update for every family.

What your school receives

  • Trained mentors
  • A diagnostic snapshot
  • A written program plan
  • Materials and tools
  • Monthly reports
  • A review together

See your cohort

The whole cohort, at a glance.

Partner schools will see which skills are secure, where gaps cluster and what the mentors plan next, without another tool to manage.

  • Where gaps cluster

Shared root skills show up together, so one well-aimed session helps several students.

  • What happens next

Each month, the plan and the next check are visible.

Professional learning

For teachers, in a world with AI.

Workshops and coaching for staff, grounded in the classroom. Teachers leave with something to use the next day.

  1. 01

What AI changes, and what it doesn’t

What these tools can do, where they fail and what that means for learning.

  2. 02

Assignments AI can’t do for students

Tasks built on thinking, process and presentation, so the work stays theirs.

  3. 03

    Socratic questioning in any subject

Discussion routines that make students’ reasoning visible.

  4. 04

Finding the root of a gap

Tracing a student’s error back to the skill underneath.

Offered as A single workshop, a series across the year, or classroom coaching.

Privacy and safeguarding

Children first, in every decision

We follow Ontario privacy law and your board’s policies, collect only what the program needs with family consent, and never sell it. Every mentor meets our standard and passes a police vulnerable sector check.

Questions from schools

Here’s what schools ask us.

Do Hikmah mentors replace our teachers?

No. They co-lead with the teacher during the day, or run the program on site after school. Your staff always know what is happening.

Are the programs aligned with the Ontario curriculum?

Every program is planned to complement the Ontario curriculum and your priorities, with the plan in writing before we begin.

Which grades, and in which language?

Grades 1 to 12, in English or French, from hands-on work in the early grades to seminars and debate in high school.

How is a partnership priced?

Each partnership is designed with the school and quoted in writing after the first conversation and snapshot, before anything begins.

When can a partnership start?

We are starting conversations with schools now, ahead of opening in Ottawa. Timing is agreed with each school.

Let’s talk about your students.

Tell us about your school and what you have in mind. We’ll reply to set up a first conversation.
